After Nikon D800 has been released, Canon announced the EOS 5DMK III DSLR camera  on 2nd March, It would be a new product that carried on after more than three years of the EOS 5DMK II released.  It seems Canon would like to beat Nikon by any new technologies and features using in their cameras, but it would be a little shock that Nikon dramatically increased its D800 DSLR camera’s sensor  up to 36MP this time, even higher than the high end model Nikon D4.

Canon 5DMK III

According the specification of 5DMK III, it has a new 22MP CMOS sensor but just little bit higher than the previous model 5DMK II’s 21MP. However  the majority improvements of the 5DMK III would be image processor, metering and the focusing systems. The new DIGI5+ image processor has significant improvement of image quality in term of  being used on other models, such as EOS 1DX and G1X, therefore the 5DMK III would have more improvement than the previous model of 5DMK II in noise control, colour representing or might be dynamic ranges etc.. Although the metering and focusing systems might not impress me because of mostly I use my camera in manual mode especially manual focusing and manual metering in studio and location flash works, however it would be necessary and important for some other kind of photographer, such as photojournalist and sport photographer. Some test samples from Dpreview regarding the noise performance which looks pretty good in ISO25600 setting, and also looking forward to other  further reviews.
