Sep 2009, It was my first time to visit Macau. A small but interesting city that I would like to be. Macau was a Portuguese colony before Dec 1999. Personally, I pretty enjoyed its local culture and foods.

Some Portuguese and European style architectures can be seen everywhere which I pretty enjoyed. ChurchGreen and yellow, red and white colour combination would be used on Church and some other buildings that look colourful.  Some church's interiors look simple and bright, they might not have a lot of colourful glasses of window like Melbourne. But they still have the special atmosphere that should have. ChurchIt could be the reason of Portuguese style? I am not sure, I didn't take any courses of architecture. However, I would like to stayed for a while and couldn't feel any depression there.

The Ruins of St.Paul, Guia Fortress, and Capela de Nossa Senhora da Guia also are pretty famous architectures in Macau. but one Chinese traditional building (Casa de Lou Kau) is also famous, Casa de Lou Kauthis building It was built in 1889 and now is protected by government as building of art and opened to public. The style of building was based on Sai kwan (广州西关) style from Canton and also combined with other style from western countries. Graphic on the wall is beautiful.

Motorcycle is the one of popular transport in Macau especially the small size one, it would be used by different age group of people even student or office ladies.

Portuguese style tart is also famous in Macau, but traditional Cantonese food is pretty good as well. I tried a delicious Wonton noodles in a famous restaurant. They also have Shrimp roe noodles which is delicious and famous as well. In side the restaurant, they posted some of Hong Kong TV stars enjoying their delicious food, it is interesting.

I spent a day and took some snap shot pictures with Macau, Welcome to visit this series of photographs, Memorof Macau. Wonton noodle
